ASSESMENT OF ROMAN CULTURAL HERITAGE SITE, VILLA ADRIANA

Junior architect Maria Mifsud attended a course at the Summer School of Conservation at the Unversita degli Studenti di Roma, Tor Vergata, focusing on Conservation of Archaeological and historic Monuments, in Rome, 2007. This included visits to archaeological sites of which the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Villa Adriana in Tivoli. Following this, she pursued studies on Villa Adriana in September 2008, under the guidance of Professor Guissepina E. Cinque, where documentation of the remains of the site was carried out. The exercise allowed training in reading an archaeological site and in developing skills to view architectural proportions as an aid for understanding and envisioning the properties of historic buildings.
