An old lady and her nurse had this house built in a mature garden and surrounded by pine trees. Traditional masonry construction was utilised in a contemporary way with the living and sleeping spaces under the vaults and the service spaces (bathrooms, pantry, etc.) hollowed out of the buttresses.
